Chicka Chicka 123 & Eternity
Last night I got to tuck in Caiden. That includes reading the book of his choice. His Papa and I gave him Chicka Chicka 123 a few years back, and it's a favorite. Sarah has the rhythm down better than I, but we have fun giving it a shot. So I read the whole book, and at the end is a two page spread of all the numbers 1 - 100. I asked Caiden, "which number is yours (age)?" He pointed and said, "the four." I said, "do you know which number is Grammy's age?" I ran my finger along all the numbers, down several rows to the 50. I said, "the 50." He responded appropriately - "wow." Then he ran his finger along the rest of the rows, all the way to the 100. He told me, "then you'll be 100 then you'll die. And go to heaven. And I'll miss you." So I said, "but you'll be 54 when I'm 100 so we won't be apart too long." He said, "but it's still going to be along time to wait to get there." Made me wish I had the heart of a four year old who longs for heaven to come quickly.
