He's Here - They're Great!
Landon James arrived at 1:57 pm, 8 lbs 6 oz, 20" long. A bit of sorta dark hair, Leslie said he's a bit of a conehead. (We've confident that will take care of itself...)Mom did great - baby is doing well. I was out buying paint at Lowes, knowing she was probably delivering him - nothing real romantic about that, is there? Struck me how unromantic some of the big things in life can be. I got a call driving down the road, answered my phone to see a video playing of her with this little bundle, saying Hi Mom. Made me instantly blubbery, mascara melting into my eyeballs and had to pull off the road. So she and I talked while I sat on the side of the road wiping mascara off the middle of my nose (how on earth it got there?)

No real photos yet - just that one video on my cell phone. They promise photos by tonight, which of course I will post tomorrow. Of course.

Thank you to each one who was praying for these first time parents. So many emotions today - I'm whipped, but then I didn't get to have an epidural. Bet sleep comes easy tonight. More tomorrow. You're all just the best! xoxoxo
