Stopping to Wonder
I've uploaded photos; toyed with posts. Gone back and forth in my mind, struggling. Was today appropriate to post cruise photos? It didn't feel quite right. Then I wandered over to our church for "Journey to the Cross", our version of honoring Christ's death and resurrection. We visit rooms that depict Christ's sacrifice, hold the coins, touch the spikes, feel the thorns on the crown, see the cross, smell spices used to annoint his body, wonder at the curtain torn, finally taking communion alone, then writing a note and nailing it to the cross.
Today is about so much more than vacation photos, or anything that might be going on in my little life. It's about a love beyond comprehension, undeserved, for me. For you.
Celebrate his resurrection this Sunday morning - when death lost it's sting. Get up early and watch the sun rise. Take it in. Everything else can wait.
